The reversible heat pump, a 2-in-1 system
The purpose of a reversible air conditioner is to obtain a different temperature from that outside the home. It’s now possible to combine heating and cooling, with innovative systems that allow both functions.
This is the case with reversible heat pumps. The air-to-air heat pump, often referred to as air-to-air air-conditioning, can be used to heat a home as well as to cool it. This is an economical solution, as it avoids the need to invest in two separate devices, and consumes very little electricity to operate.

Air/Air heat pumps
The air-to-air heat pump operates on a relatively simple principle. It captures heat from the outside air to heat a house or apartment. To operate, the heat pump needs two units. One, located outside, recovers heat from the air and the other, inside, distributes it throughout the home via a fan coil unit.
Several designs are available to blend in with your interior, and a variety of models to suit your space and budget.
The indoor unit can be
- Wall-mounted: MURAL.
- Floor-standing (like a radiator): CONSOLE.
- Concealed in a false ceiling: GAINABLE.
